For this hybrid live set, elliott will be utilizing his SP-404mk2 sampler for running drum fills and sequences + vox samples, a Novation X-Station 25 synth for lead and pad additions, live vocal harmony and noise fills (heavy on the FX), scratching vinyl samples from an assortment of battle records, all while mixing full digital tracks across 4 CDJ-3000s. What makes this hybrid live set even more special is the addition of one of Richmond’s dopest guitarists - Julian Goddard - who will be shredding guitar improv atop elliott’s blends. This set has been discussed and dreamt over for the past year after an impromptu set with elliott and Julian at The Jungle Room where Julian flexed his pure talent and musical prowess by effortlessly deciphering key and scales while playing over elliott’s mixing with zero knowledge of the tracks elliott was selecting. Everything you will experience during this 60-minute set will 100% be improvised.
Additional support by budding talent Teets from 9-10p with a likely b2b from elliott and Teets prior to the hybrid live set! This night will be full of funk, feels, love and loads of musical surprises. Show your support and get there early!

Suze Ijó is a house DJ. She works in the lineage of that word not just as a name for a genre of dance music, but a mood, a way of moving, an ethic and cultivation of spirit. Ijó grew up in Rotterdam, Europe's largest seaport, and was surrounded by hip-hop, Caribbean music and Eurodance - products of cultural import and synthesis from the house sounds of Chicago and New York. By the time she was 18, Ijó began going out to clubs with an orientation towards these very sounds; she also started working on local nightlife production teams and as a door host, and later on as a booker. Through these experiences, she developed her taste for the genres she often plays out today: deep-cut RnB, warm and pulsing soul house, interlocking waves of polyrhythms and vocals and timbres all speaking to a profound transhistorical groove.
After beginning to study for a degree in social work, Ijó pivoted to working full-time in music and nightlife: for three years she did sales at Rotterdam's Clone records, as well as being part of the former collective First Floor. These days, she curates the podcast series for United Identities along with Carista, and is playing gigs full-time. However close to the heart, her sound has been ringing out in industry-lauded European venues such as Panorama Bar, De School, Lux Fragíl, Kaiku and regular slots at Dekmantel Festival; additionally, the last years have seen Ijó make tours of Oceania and South America.
Despite the busy schedule, her club sets reflect an intention and focus granted to each individual space and evening - again, this is "house" as a feeling, not necessarily a musical structure of BPM-range. Ijó almost always brings incense to her gigs, wrapping the space in a sensual vividnes: her take on the club night is not just a series of DJs showcasing tracks or finesse, but a collective bodily and spiritual event crafted by all those involved, from the bar staff to the crowd to the lighting to the soundsystem. Likely one won't have to wait too long before Ijó plays in a club nearby, but luckily, one gets a sense of this even in her numerous radio shows, with broadcasts on NTS, The Lot Radio, and the Dekmantel Podcast series.

Born and raised in west suburban Chicagoland, Shaun J. Wright spent most of their teen years immersed in the sounds of house music. In the late 80’s and early 90’s, house music was a powerful force, permeating the mainstream airwaves of Chicago’s most prominent radio stations. With Wright being raised in the epicenter of house culture during this era, their love for dance music began to expand throughout their high school years as they partook in the underground dance scene now globally known as Juke.
While in undergrad at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Wright developed their skills as a dancer in the vogue ballroom scene and professional dance companies. After acquiring an MA Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, Wright enjoyed an active career in fashion in New York City. That is where they met Andrew Butler, founder of Hercules and Love Affair, in 2008, and began a whirlwind collaboration with the ensemble as a vocalist. They spent nearly three years touring with the outfit, performing in major venues & festivals throughout North & South America and Europe. They’re also featured prominently on the ensemble’s lauded sophomore album, “Blue Songs’.
Returning to Chicago in 2012 to forge their solo career, Wright began to collaborate with respected DJ and producer Alinka. Promptly after beginning their party Twirl in the spring of 2013, Wright & Alinka released their first EP, Twirl Vol. 1, on the celebrated Classic Music Company led by luminaries Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter. They continued to expand upon the brand in late 2014 with their Twirl Records debut release “Journey Into The Deep” EP which included remixes from Kim Ann Foxman and Stereogamous. The label’s output has received much critical acclaim and has been supported by DJ Mag, XLR8R, Mixmag, BBC Radio 1’s Heidi and Annie Mac, and a plethora of notable DJ’s.

A triple threat who lights up a room when behind the decks, in the studio, and on stage, TORIBIO is a lifelong student of rhythm. Analyzing melodies and chords with a musician's ear, the Dominican-American artist blends different genres and moods in all his creative pursuits-DJing, producing, singing, playing instruments, and even his skills on the mic.
Thanks to a childhood spent playing in church and jazz drumming, the Florida-born, New York-based act has a natural sense of harmony. He takes on the role of musical cartographer in live house fusion band, Conclave, whose debut album was named one of Resident Advisor's best in 2021 and praised by both Rolling Stone and the New Yorker. Acting as the ensemble's bandleader, vocalist, and key instrumentalist, TORIBIO connects jazz, soul, and house from various cultures with style and grace.
His speciality in sonic connections are especially tangible in his DJing. Gliding from pan-Latin club to raw electro to jazz to old-school funk, his sets are a masterclass in building energy and tension. Whether playing Boiler Room or clubs in Mexico City and Tokyo, he knows how to work a crowd with selections and transitions that are as precise as they are powerful. As a producer, his edits and originals are DJ weapons, rinsed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Rich Medina, and Theo Parrish. His original tracks have been remixed by the likes of Louie Vega, Joe Claussell, and DJ Spinna.
Known for fostering community through movement, his Brooklyn block parties (Public Service NYC) embody the spirit of New York's dance culture while his newly formed imprint B.D.A. is quickly becoming known for bringing these vibes to vinyl. A TORIBIO show is a full-body experience as he always says, "bring dat ass, and your feet will follow.

Before today there was yesterday and after tomorrow is the future. Lonely C and Bamboozle’s paths were crossed for all time when a Sun Ra light beam sent from Saturn collided with the P-Funk Mothership and sent them tumbling to earth. Now, Soul Clap time travels on a musical spaceship of dopeness…
Charles Levine aka Lonely C and Eli Goldstein aka Bamboozle cut their teeth in Boston during the 90’s rave heyday and quickly learned the power of P.L.U.R., a commitment to PEACE LOVE UNITY & RESPECT in the community, on the dancefloor, and in the DJ booth. They found an early mentor in Caril Mitro at local record shop Vinyl Connection, who taught them that HOUSE WEARS MANY HATS, “the ethos that the music we love comes in many shapes and sizes”. These values have led to a one-of-a-kind take on electronic music that breaks through limitations and genres with a deep commitment to carry on the traditions of our musical foremothers and fathers.
Spreading their wings beyond Boston, Soul Clap found acclaim through a series of edits, remixes and originals on Wolf + Lamb, and became a household name with their mixes of Extravaganza and Bakerman. They performed everywhere from The Marcy Hotel, to DC10, to Trouw, to Panorama Bar, to The Electric Pickle and on their travels discovered that EVERYBODY’S FREAKY UNDERNATURE’S KINGDOM. EFUNK sounds like modern electronic funk and became their calling card, as the title of their first album in 2012, which lead to a collaboration with George Clinton and honorary entry into the P-Funk family. EFUNK remains a bridge between the discerning futurism of underground dance music and the charisma and boldness of the funk.
EFUNK was followed by contributions to legendary mix series: DJ Kicks, Fabric and Watergate, and a second album, SOUL CLAP in 2016. Meanwhile they launched Soul Clap Records (which Mixmag called one of the best disco labels of the last decade), joined forces with Wolf + Lamb to found the CREW LOVE collective, and continued to share the knowledge; teaching courses, leading workshops, speaking on panels and always including forgotten classics in their DJ sets.
By harnessing the past Soul Clap looks to the future. After exploring solo ventures, they come back together with a series of EPs beginning with Run It ft. Baby Bam on Classic Music Company and followed by releases on Soul Clap Records and the newly minted EFUNK label. All leading up to a new Soul Clap album and launch of The Soul Clap Band, whose first incarnation as an eight piece ensemble on the main stage at Movement Detroit was a highlight of 2017. In anticipation, Soul Clap takes their EFUNK party on the road, growing from Detroit, Miami and New York in 2018 and featuring musical legends of the house, funk and rave worlds. Always pushing new boundaries, always traveling through time and space, The Clap is on a mission to change the world one dance floor at a time. Dr. Funkenstein has taught us well: free your mind, and your ass will follow.

(Women On Wax Bangin’ Ass Music), and continues to collaborate with, produce on, and remix for a number of labels.

She was recently named one of the “20 Women Who Shaped the History of Dance Music” by Mixmag and one of the “Best house music DJs of all time” by TimeOut New York. In 2018, she was presented with the Spirit of Detroit Award for “exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership, and dedication to improving the quality of life.” In 2020 she launched Behind The Grüv, an online store that sells high-quality, reasonably priced casual wear, fir for lounging, outdoor events, and working out.

Troy Beman
As a teenager, Troy Beman found himself immersed in Sydney’s club scene just before the lockout laws were enacted taking aim at widespread violence. In the years the government placed drastic curbs on hours that limited artistic freedom, Troy found unusual success booking talent and producing parties in a downturn for the wider community. Still wanting to hear a certain sound and energy he felt was missing, he began deejaying some of Sydney & Melbournes best parties/clubs – from the offbeat left of center to the queer (PoofDoof) and iconic (Revolver, Club77 & Lost Sundays).
The evolution from booker and promoter to performer and artist was a natural one for Troy – his family nurtured an eclectic taste in music from an early age. A classically trained pianist, Troy has developed a signature sound that consistently pushes boundaries and tempo, setting trends with a healthy respect for classics. Drawing sets from a deep well of musical knowledge, Troy takes every chance to pay homage to the artistic forebears whose contributions have made his career (and dance music writ large) possible, many of them marginalized, LGBTQ+ people of color.
Consistent appearances across the country on direct support for mainstays like Honey Dijon, Kevin Saunderson, Tiga & HAAi have garnered the attention of bookers and producers far past Australia’s shores. 2023 promises to be an impressive year for Troy, having relocated to London UK for his residency at XOYO with DJ Heidi for the month of july. He will rightfully take on dancefloors with the best of them in the UK, Europe and North America for the remainder of the year.

Holographic is a funky force of joy. She is a leading woman of the next generation of the Detroit dance music underground, and brings that potent energy with her wherever she goes.
The DJ/producer was born-and-raised in Detroit on a rich musical diet of Motown, R&B, Rock, and House. Born Ariel Corley, her artist name was inspired by Star Trek’s Holodeck, a mirror to society, a manifestation of human divineness, and a transporter of different realities into different spaces. She brings intention to everything she does, and when she steps behind the decks you feel her unconditional love as she channels the energy of the crowd and the seasons, curating a soundtrack of house, funk, nu-disco, techno and beyond to suit and elevate the vibe.
Corley has filled many a hallowed space with her resonant sound over the past 13 years. Since cutting her teeth in the certified underground of Detroit’s warehouses, she’s played four Movements, along with enviable bookings at other beloved clubs and festivals around the world, from Tomorrowland to OFFSónar. 2022 was a banner year with many firsts, including a successful Australian tour and Coachella debut. Swedish House Mafia offered her to open seven of their stadium shows, and she toured North America and Europe several times over. She’s a regular DJ at Berlin’s famed Panorama Bar and played their 2023 New Year’s Eve party, clocking in four shows there in 2022.
The love, intimacy and realness she brings to her shows has won her a diverse, devoted fanbase across the globe, and this connection is what ignites and fuels her. “I enjoy being able to interact with my crowd musically and emotionally,” she explains. Her upbeat sound and boundless joy can fill any space, and she feels most at home in intimate spaces akin to Detroit warehouse parties. She celebrates the culture she’s building together with her audience and fellow like-hearted DJs, a continuation of techno’s Detroit origins.
Techno forefather Carl Craig tapped her to curate Detroit Love Vol. 5 in 2021, the compilation album series on his iconic independent label Planet E Communications. The album is a vibey celebration of Detroit-based and Detroit-loving artists, and a sampling of the type of tunesCorley might listen to on the journey before, during and after a show. It got a nod from DJ Magfor 2022 Best Compilation and came with a vibrant, classic house-nodding DJ Holographic original, “Faith in My Cup,” featuring Apropos’ warm vocals. Her first release came in 2020, a playful, funky three-track EP donning her filtered voice, Parallel Shifting.
Corley’s been working on new music and is excited to share it in 2023. She’s been clearing space for unbridled creativity, to find the depth of her voice and sound as a producer. She’s been taking voice lessons and found the instrument she most connects with, an Akai MPC. Like music, she’s found solace in astrology, using it as a tool for healing and to discover all facets of herself. She’s surprised by some of the darker sounds she’s been making, ala early GreenVelvet, and feels it could be from her Scorpio rising. Her sun sign is Sagittarius, the free-spirited adventurer and intellectual, quite fitting for a globe-trotting DJ well-studied in music, community building and anthropology. The time to enter the world of DJ Holographic—a joyfully soundtracked, ever-expanding, creative, heart-centered glittering disco ball of possibility—is now
KAYLASOUL & Jus Nowhere
Born and raised in the DC area by a family of musicians, KayLaSoul has been steeped in a musical life since the start. Her selection style is defined by her honoring of the musical community she was cultured by, which instilled within her a foundational love of old school R&B, hip hop, funk, and house, as well as her ethnically Caribbean roots. KayLaSoul's M.O. is to make the room move, without compromising her core love of the groove. In a single set, KayLaSoul seamlessly stitches beats together from a range including deep house, Detroit style techno, and electro, then layered in with rhythmic vocals. The common thread throughout it all is an undeniably funky center of gravity that brings everyone's heart, soul and booty to the dance-floor.
Through honing her craft at residencies such as Soul Factory, UPM, and Flash Nightclub and hosting after-hours events in DC, KayLaSoul has gained the appreciation and respect of her community, while staying true to her identity and roots as a black female DJ. She has played alongside artists such as Seth Troxler, Delano Smith, Anja Schneider, Âme, and Behrouz, to name a few.

Xav
Xav's musical style can be summarized as one word, emotional. First exposed to the dance and DJ community in 2018, by 2019 he co-founded the EDM group Bass Trinity. Once truly learning the differences in styles and most importantly origins of dance music, his focus shifted towards house and techno exclusively. Since then he has played across numerous clubs and venues in the Mid Atlantic. Currently when he's not working on production or expanding the dance community in his hometown of Richmond Virginia, he acts as the East Coast & Richmond liaison for the prestigious Black Techno Matters while also getting ready for the launch of his melodic techno centric brand/label Ariose Agenda.
ELLIOTT
From hip hop to hippie to straight up house head, Elliott’s life has always revolved around listening to, learning about, digging for and experiencing music. For nearly 15 years, that energy has been pumped into dance music starting in the blog house era and evolving from there to a more open-format style that defined his pre-pandemic BUTTER parties, but since the lockdown of 2020, his journey has led him deeper into the sound of the underground, drawing inspiration from legends like Kerri Chandler, Moodymann, and Classic Music Co. label co-founder Luke Solomon. This very journey has led him to collaborating with restaurateur & LOSO club creator Brandon Pearson since 2021, as well as opening for and sharing booths with the likes of DJ Minx, DJ Holographic, Kim Ann Foxman and HoneyLuv.
Kim Ann Foxman
Hawaii-born, San Francisco-seasoned, and NYC-based musician Kim Ann Foxman has always been a capital-R Raver. The label owner, singer, and queer-musical-icon got her start as a high schooler blending fruit smoothies at an all-ages club while acts like Deee-Lite performed on the stage behind her. In 1995, when Kim moved from the island of Oahu to San Francisco, she spent her weekends chasing down map points to dance under the stars and warehouses of Funky Tekno Tribe and Bassex parties. The look and sound of raving have transformed many times over in the three decades since, but so too has Kim evolved; as a solo artist releasing records via her Firehouse & self:timer labels or as a vocalist for her club hits (“Creature”) and as a singer on the first two Hercules & Love Affair LPs.
Regardless of the space and time, whether she is performing at nightclubs (Berghain, Bassiani, DC-10), or festivals (Honcho, Pitch Arts, Sónar), rest assured that one of Kim’s time-tested rave anthems will be in her DJ-bag. Rinsing a 30-year-old anthem is one of the many ways KAF has alchemized and honored that hard-to-describe feeling of the records she produces and plays, the groovy timeless sound of the rave. A sound that has captured the hearts of artists like Robyn, Erasure, and the XX or fashion brands like Gucci and Alexander McQueen. Her latest project, “Pleasure Planet” finds her in band mode again with an incoming LP.
Pleasure Planet continues Kim’s careerlong foray into capturing the psychedelic, communal, and intentional feeling of her roots as a P.L.U.R.ist and basshead. Kim’s commitment to craft, subtlety, and good vibes has rewarded her with a fanbase that feels more like a crew. Together they hold the giant folding map navigating to where this trippy music will take them next.
