QRTR is an electronic music producer and artist currently based in Philadelphia, PA. Her sound is an infusion of cinematic synth progressions and club focused rhythms, toeing the line between sonic experimentation and rave-ready productions. Meagan Rodriguez is QRTR, a musician, DJ, and film composer flourishing within modern electronic music, recognized as a top rising indie artist. Building music of conceptual depth, the tonality of QRTR’s productions pull from various ethos: the entrancing and pulsating waves of house rhythms, psychedelic scopes of space and layering, and immersive worlds of sound that utilize her vast film and field recording library.

QRTR can activate the biggest of stages and can also immerse the mind into a menagerie of unfolding styles cascading over one another. A singular artist of her generation, QRTR first established her voice with two monumental releases within a 24-month window: Drenched (2020) and infina ad nausea (2021), records that explored themes of submersion, repetition, and endurance. These ideas reach their most realized form on her third album, ONDAS (2025), a deeply personal work that translates those patterns into explicit vocal and lyrical explorations. ONDAS, translating to “waves” in Portuguese and Spanish, reflects on cyclical grief and relief, drawing from QRTR’s multilingual upbringing and a poem written in 2017 to her religious Portuguese mother - an invocation to keep moving forward, again and again, despite the ebb and flow of the tide.

The live resume and presentation of QRTR’s music has become just as exemplary, making her presence known at prestigious festivals such as Coachella, Electric Forest, HARD Summer, and Making Time, and performing at some of the most cutting edge underground shows and festivals around the globe. Most notable was her appearance at A2B2’s sold out Night of Fire festival at the Knockdown Center in New York, featuring QRTR alongside Arca, Eartheater, Andy Morin, Machinegirl, and Kero Kero Bonito. Millions of plays across streaming platforms worldwide and a dedicated fan base that’s expanded far outside of her East Coast roots, QRTR has become an undeniable force within modern electronic music.

JULY 4TH w/ JUNIOR SANCHEZ
w/ B.Hill, Bobby Metronome, Zack Decker
Saturday, July 4
DJ Sets: 8pm - 2am
2727 W. Broad St

As one of the world’s most respected and innovative DJs, Junior Sanchez has remained at the forefront of house music since the ‘90s. But throughout his three-decade-long career, Sanchez has continued to challenge himself—becoming a versatile producer, a hands-on label executive, and an inspiring entrepreneur along the way. Above all, Sanchez’s enthusiasm for his craft, and his passion to share it with others, is present in all of his endeavors.

Sanchez developed his talents on a makeshift rig at home and immersed himself in New YorkCity’s vibrant club scene. By his early teens, he was DJing regularly at Peter Gatien’s Club USA and Limelight. Balancing high school with residencies, Sanchez signed his first record deal at 15. A few years later, he established Cube Recordings, where he released records from the likes ofRhythm Masters, Stuart Price, and Sébastien Léger. There, he also co-produced Felix da Housecat’s landmark electroclash album, Kittenz and Thee Glitz.

The prodigious DJ not only won the respect of house music’s elders but also of a new generation of stars, including Armand van Helden, who took Sanchez under his wing. Together, they founded Da Mongaloids—a global collective of DJs that featured such high-profile names as Todd Terry; Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christ; Roger Sanchez;Laidback Luke; DJ Sneak; and Basement Jaxx’s Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. Aiming to create “The Wu-Tang Clan of House Music,” Sanchez was the youngest of the group—and the most enthusiastic. “I recruited all of these people,” he recalls. “We started re-mixing each other and appearing on each other’s records. There was a lot of unity.”

Today, Sanchez feels a responsibility to preserve that original spirit while also looking ahead; empowering a new generation of artists to shape the future of dance music. “Everyone should win within this culture—whether they’re underground or mainstream; a singer, a songwriter, or a DJ who makes beats. There’s room for everyone.”

It’s certainly a full-circle moment for the busy artist and father as he enters the next decade of his career. “I always say that we’re all pixels in this amazing story of house music; we’ve all played a role,” he reflects. “I’m so grateful that I was part of the picture as a kid—and am still a part of this ‘painting’ that we’re all creating.”

DJ Sets: 9p - 2a

SUCK MY DISCO is a high-voltage night of disco seduction and unapologetic self-expression presented, hosted and DJ’d by international superstars The Illustrious Blacks (Defected, Glitterbox, Soul Clap Records) and co-producer C'mon Everybody Presents. Inspired by the untamed glamour, sexual freedom, and electrifying nightlife energy of Studio 54 and Paradise Garage in the late ’70s and early ’80s, this is more than a party — it’s a liberation ritual under the mirrorball.

Expect euphoric vocals, cosmic rhythms, and a dancefloor dripping in sweat, glitter, and ecstasy. Come dressed or undressed to express: sequins, leather, feathers, lamé, velvet, skin, or pure fantasy. Whether you’re a disco diva, nightlife rebel, underground icon, or first-time freak, everyone is encouraged to arrive fully and fearlessly themselves.

At SUCK MY DISCO, there are no spectators — only participants in a night of decadent joy, radical love, and nonstop movement. The Illustrious Blacks curate a sonic journey through disco, house, funk, and futuristic club energy designed to make you lose yourself and find your people.

Be loud. Be sexy. Be free.

And above all…LIVE THE HYPE LIFE!

In 2023, she was named by DJ Mag and The Blessed Madonna as an “artist to watch” leading to a nomination for “Breakthrough DJ of the Year (North America).” This momentum continued with ‘Slay 4 Me’ on He.She.They garnering heavy support from BBC Radio 1, Defected, Ministry of Sound, and a guest mix on Future Dance with Sarah Story. In 2024, her releases ‘Inner Voice’ and ‘For U’ broke new ground for her sonically before culminating in a buzzworthy set at Coachella that year.

SHAUN J. WRIGHT @ LOSO

Saturday, August 22
DJ Sets: 9p-2a
2727 W Broad St

A banjee child who loves to twirl and dip. I sing and DJ, too. Sometimes, while twirling and dipping...

Born and raised in west suburban Chicagoland, Shaun J. Wright spent most of their teen years immersed in the sounds of house music. In the late 80’s and early 90’s, house music was a powerful force, permeating the mainstream airwaves of Chicago’s most prominent radio stations. With Wright being raised in the epicenter of house culture during this era, their love for dance music began to expand throughout their high school years as they partook in the underground dance scene now globally known as Juke.

While in undergrad at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Wright developed their skills as a dancer in the vogue ballroom scene and professional dance companies. After acquiring an MA Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, Wright enjoyed an active career in fashion in New York City. That is where they met Andrew Butler, founder of Hercules and Love Affair, in 2008, and began a whirlwind collaboration with the ensemble as a vocalist. They spent nearly three years touring with the outfit, performing in major venues & festivals throughout North & South America and Europe. They’re also featured prominently on the ensemble’s lauded sophomore album, “Blue Songs’.

Returning to Chicago in 2012 to forge their solo career, Wright began to collaborate with respected DJ and producer Alinka. Promptly after beginning their party Twirl in the spring of 2013, Wright & Alinka released their first EP, Twirl Vol. 1, on the celebrated Classic Music Company led by luminaries Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter. They continued to expand upon the brand in late 2014 with their Twirl Records debut release “Journey Into The Deep” EP which included remixes from Kim Ann Foxman and Stereogamous. The label’s output has received much critical acclaim and has been supported by DJ Mag, XLR8R, Mixmag, BBC Radio 1’s Heidi and Annie Mac, and a plethora of notable DJ’s.

Wright continues to collaborate with other sought after producers including Chrissy, Kiki, System Of Survival, Stereogamous Bell Boys, Bobmo, and Nicholas, and has been released on Freerange, BPitch Control, Honey Soundsystem & Cocktail D’Amore, Discovery, Marble, and 4Lux, respectively. Wright steadily exhilarates dance floors internationally as a DJ weaving live vocals throughout their sets in locations as far and varied as: Sydney, Berlin (Panorama Bar), London, Auckland, Stockholm, Barcelona, NYC, Los Angeles and his hometown of Chicago (Smart Bar).

Stacey Pullen, label boss at Blackflag Records, is a pioneering force in the Second Wave of Detroit techno, mentored by the city's iconic trio—Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kevin Saunderson. As a world-renowned DJ and producer he continues to shape the electronic music landscape with his characteristic atmospheric sound, defying predictability and embodying his lifelong commitment to innovation.

Stacey's musical journey began at age 9 with the flute in school bands, setting the stage for a lifelong connection to music. Inspired by the mid-1980s Detroit Techno movement and influenced by luminaries like Jeff Mills and Chicago DJs, he, along with friends, experimented with turntables, laying the foundation for his illustrious DJ career. From his debut gig in 1992, Stacey recognized the challenges and rewards of DJing-- marking the start of his impactful trajectory. The release of his first track was under the moniker “Bango” on Derrick May’s Fragile Records. In 1993 Stacey moved to Amsterdam for more than a year and solidified his status as an innovative and influential figure in the techno landscape. In 1998, he continued his growth trajectory and started Blackflag Recordings featuring the future classic “Sweat”.

As a luminary in the music industry, Stacey Pullen continues to grow Blackflag Records: a label of abstract aesthetics– an outlet of free speech, thought and sound. Stacey’s goal is to hold no boundaries in his approach to music and its artform. With the goal of growth always at the forefront, expect Stacey to push the limits of possibilities in every project he touches.

DJ Holographic

DJ Holographic @ LOSO
w/ Mass FX
Friday, June 26
2727 W. Broad St
21+

DJ Holographic is a funky force of joy. She is a leading woman of the next generation of the Detroit dance music underground, and brings that potent energy with her wherever she goes.

The DJ/producer was born-and-raised in Detroit on a rich musical diet of Motown, R&B, Rock, and House. Born Ariel Corley, her artist name was inspired by Star Trek’s Holodeck, a mirror to society, a manifestation of human divineness, and a transporter of different realities into different spaces. She brings intention to everything she does, and when she steps behind the decks you feel her unconditional love as she channels the energy of the crowd and the seasons, curating a soundtrack of house, funk, nu-disco, techno and beyond to suit and elevate the vibe.

Corley has filled many a hallowed space with her resonant sound over the past 13 years. Since cutting her teeth in the certified underground of Detroit’s warehouses, she’s played four Movements, along with enviable bookings at other beloved clubs and festivals around the world, from Tomorrowland to OFFSónar. 2022 was a banner year with many firsts, including a successful Australian tour and Coachella debut. Swedish House Mafia offered her to open seven of their stadium shows, and she toured North America and Europe several times over. She’s a regular DJ at Berlin’s famed Panorama Bar and played their 2023 New Year’s Eve party, clocking in four shows there in 2022.

The love, intimacy and realness she brings to her shows has won her a diverse, devoted fanbase across the globe, and this connection is what ignites and fuels her. “I enjoy being able to interact with my crowd musically and emotionally,” she explains. Her upbeat sound and boundless joy can fill any space, and she feels most at home in intimate spaces akin to Detroit warehouse parties. She celebrates the culture she’s building together with her audience and fellow like-hearted DJs, a continuation of techno’s Detroit origins.

Techno forefather Carl Craig tapped her to curate Detroit Love Vol. 5 in 2021, the compilation album series on his iconic independent label Planet E Communications. The album is a vibey celebration of Detroit-based and Detroit-loving artists, and a sampling of the type of tunesCorley might listen to on the journey before, during and after a show. It got a nod from DJ Magfor 2022 Best Compilation and came with a vibrant, classic house-nodding DJ Holographic original, “Faith in My Cup,” featuring Apropos’ warm vocals. Her first release came in 2020, a playful, funky three-track EP donning her filtered voice, Parallel Shifting.

Corley’s been working on new music and is excited to share it in 2023. She’s been clearing space for unbridled creativity, to find the depth of her voice and sound as a producer. She’s been taking voice lessons and found the instrument she most connects with, an Akai MPC. Like music, she’s found solace in astrology, using it as a tool for healing and to discover all facets of herself. She’s surprised by some of the darker sounds she’s been making, ala early GreenVelvet, and feels it could be from her Scorpio rising. Her sun sign is Sagittarius, the free-spirited adventurer and intellectual, quite fitting for a globe-trotting DJ well-studied in music, community building and anthropology. The time to enter the world of DJ Holographic—a joyfully soundtracked, ever-expanding, creative, heart-centered glittering disco ball of possibility—is now

__________

Stimulator Jones, aka Samuel Jones Lunsford, is a stunningly versatile multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, beatmaker, producer, DJ, and songwriter born and raised among the nature and wildlife of Roanoke, VA.

After 13 years of work in a plethora of different bands, he adopted the Stimulator Jones moniker at the end of 2013 and began self-releasing music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp. In 2015 these creations attracted the attention of Sofie Fatouretchi - DJ, musician and former employee of Stones Throw Records. “Soon Never Comes” appeared on her ‘Sofie’s SOS Tape’ compilation the following year and led to an album deal with Stones Throw.

His debut LP ‘Exotic Worlds and Masterful Treasures’ was released in the summer of 2018, wholly comprising material that he wrote, performed, recorded, and mixed himself. ‘Exotic Outtakes’, an EP of leftover tracks from the album sessions, was released that fall in conjunction with a US tour. In the summer of 2019 he traveled to Asia for a string of shows in Japan and South Korea.

January of 2021 marked the release of ‘La Mano’ in collaboration with Oslo-based independent label Mutual Intentions - an instrumental jazz/funk/fusion album that placed his musicianship at the forefront and featured no sampled or programmed sounds. The title track “La Mano” was selected by legendary UK DJ Gilles Peterson for inclusion on the Brownswood Recordings compilation ‘Brownswood Bubblers 12’.

Samuel continues to compose and perform music on a regular basis in addition to setting magical moods and crafting infectious energy through his DJ sets. 2024 holds many exciting developments in store; a series of EP's consisting of funky, club-friendly deep house music is currently in the works through the Chicago-based indie label Star Creature, a mini LP of Drum & Bass music will be released by Scotland-based electronic label Craigie Knowes, and a vinyl compilation of archival material from the years 1999-2005 will be released by the UK reissue label Be With Records.

__________

A longtime fixture of Detroit’s club scene, DJ Minx is often referred to as the First Lady of Wax.Her mix sets as well as her productions range from deep and minimal to boisterous and funky, and she’s earned respect throughout the techno and house scenes. Active as a DJ since the early 1990s, she formed the Women on Wax collective and label, and started releasing tracks in the early 2000s, scoring an underground hit with the 2003 minimal house track “A Walk in the Park.” She continued honing her craft over the years and began receiving more widespread recognition during the 2010s, as her international bookings increased and she released further singles, like 2022’s “Do It All Night.”

Jennifer Damaris was born in Detroit in 1967. She began to DJ after a friend took her to see Derrick May spin at a club called the Music Institute in 1989. As DJ Minx, she started playing sets at another Detroit club, the Loft, and other parties in the city. She became close friends with Kevin Saunderson during the mid-’90s, and he gave her some guidance and encouraged her to develop her own style. Minx hosted a program called Deep Space Radio on Detroit station WGPR, and she provided voice overs on Saunderson’s X-Mix: Transmission from Deep Space Radio, a 1997 mix CD modeled after the show. Minx hosted another show called Steamy Windows on CJAM, broadcasting from the University of Windsor, and she became a resident DJ at Club Motor in Hamtramck, Michigan, where she opened for established DJs from Detroit and abroad. She performed at the first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 and continued to play the festival annually, including its subsequent iterations as Movement and Fuse-In.

Minx formed Women on Wax, a collective of female DJs and producers from the Detroit area, in late 1996, and she launched the label Women on Wax Recordings in 2001. Her debut EP, Introduction, was released as a white-label 12″ that year, and it was followed by Airborne in 2003. One of the record’s tracks, “A Walk in the Park,” became a hit among minimal techno DJs, and Richie Hawtin re-released it on his M_nus imprint, with remixes by producers like Ricardo Villalobos and Matthew Dear. Minx released the EP Fuzzy Navel in 2004 and collaborated with fellow Detroit house producer Pirahnahead as Animal Trax. Minx’s Midnite Bullet EP appeared in 2008, and she made a brief appearance on Andrés’ 2009 album II.

More than two decades after she began her career in the club scene, DJ Minx finally started receiving recognition as a dance music legend during the 2010s. In 2015, Mixmag named her as one of the 20 women who shaped the history of dance music, and Time Out New York included her in a list of the Top Ten house DJs of all time in 2016. She was awarded the Spirit of Detroit award by the city council in 2018, along with Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, Underground Resistance’s Bridgette Banks, and other women who played a major role in Detroit’s dance scene. Minx left her job in the Detroit auto industry and pursued music full-time. She released several singles and EPs during the early 2020s, including Violet Groove, which featured an updated version of “A Walk in the Park.”

Minx came out as a lesbian in 2021, during Pride Month. Soon after, her image was featured in a mural on the side of Detroit’s Ruth Ellis Center dedicated to the city’s queer community, and her single “Purse First ” was released, with proceeds benefiting the LGBTQ+ community center. She also released an EP titled Queendom on London-based HE.SHE.THEY. and shared a split EP with another veteran Detroit producer, Gari Romalis. In 2022, Minx made her first appearance on BBC Radio 1’s long-running Essential Mix. Her song “Do It All Night,” previously featured on Carl Craig’s 2019 mix Detroit Love, Vol. 2, was given a full release on Planet E, with remixes by Craig and Honey Dijon. Minx continued playing at clubs and festivals around the world, and she was asked to curate her own stage at the 2022 edition of Movement. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi

She has quickly risen in the Washington, DC scene, sharing stages with artists such as PAWSA, SOSA, Kyle Walker, Paco Osuna, Tini Gessler, Mele, Azzecca, Justin Martin, Max Styler, and MISHA at clubs such as Culture, Gramophone, Flash, and Soundcheck. She is known for moving dance floors with her patented groovy and up-tempo sets that blend minimal, deep tech, and tech house. Although DC is her home, her track selection and original productions are undeniably influenced by the underground scenes of Brooklyn and the UK, where her family is from.

Central to Lizz’s personal and professional values is the belief that house music and its community can fulfill fundamental human needs. This idea is reflected in her moniker, which alludes to Maslow’s Hierarchy.

---------

Who Are We?

We're DJs, dancers, organizers, and fans who believe house music deserves a stronger home in the 757.

House Revival Project is a nonprofit built by and for the community - to preserve the culture, support local talent, and create meaningful spaces where the music (and the community) can thrive.

Our Mission

House Revival Project is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing house music and its culture through interactive events and performances. We aim to bring house music to the forefront of the Hampton Roads scene by building a community rooted in its history, creativity, and energy.

Our mission includes expanding opportunities for house music in local venues and city events - growing its presence in the region's nightlife and arts scene through education and visibility. While our primary focus is Hampton Roads, we're committed to future expansion across Virginia and online using dynamic social media and video content to connect with a wider audience.

---------

Levi Watts is a house music DJ, Producer, and event curator from Virginia’s 757 region, known for deep, soulful, and groove-driven sets built on swing, texture, and long-form progression. Through this work, he has become a key organizer in the scene.

---------

RIFFA is known for his energetic and groovy dj sets. His finely tuned mixing and big sounds are staples that cut clearly through the current trends of today. With recent support from major acts such as Kyle Watson, Wongo, Kolombo, Shiba San, and more, RIFFA has established himself as a staple in the underground house community.

SHAUN J. WRIGHT @ LOSO
w/ Casey West
Saturday, March 21
DJ Sets: 9p-2a
2727 W Broad St

---------
